Thank you for taking a moment to
review our promotional package.
We hope you will consider our group for your next event, large, small or
in-between.
The Rent Money Blues Band
is not just your average blues band. For almost twenty years, we have
specialized in creating exceptional, totally live music for occasions of all
sizes and types. We are as comfortable in a concert venue as we are at a wedding
reception. If you reside in Florida, we should be your favorite band. Over the
years we have been together, we have always focused on creating the perfect
music for the perfect event. That ability and philosophy has never failed us.
Our musical performances include everything from light jazz, to music from the
glory days of American rock and roll. From Motown to British Invasion, from Funk
to Swing, with a little Latin, a smidgen of Country, we are nothing, if not
versatile. As you will see, the members of this group are professional and
versatile, and we perform live without additional tracks or sweeteners that have
become so popular. We have been fortunate enough to personally know and perform
with many of the biggest performers in the industry and the top notch legends of
our era. The great ones share my previously stated opinion, almost to a man...or
woman as the case might be. I guess what I am really saying is that we take our
performances seriously, and we collectively feel the need to insure a wonderful
musical experience for everyone. Recently, we opened the first annual Clearwater
Sea Blues Festival at Coachman Park. This was both an important historical event
for the City of Clearwater, and an unprecedented leap of faith for all involved.
It was a great success as well. We shared the bill with notables such as Chris
Beard, Coco Montoya, Eric Sardinas, and the legendary Johnny Winter. We are
comfortable, credible, and at home in these situations, and immensely enjoy
these opportunities when they arise. We have also toured as the live band behind
the Crests, featuring one of the greatest singers' in decades, Mr. Tommy Mara.
During our tenure with Tommy, we worked with, and backed up many of our musical
heroes of the 50's and 60's. Included in that list are Gene Chandler, Jay and
the Americans, our buddy Jay Siegel and the Tokens, the fabulous Legends of Doo-Wop,
the Association, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals, the beautiful Shirley Alston Reeves
of the Shirelles, Ronnie Spector from the Ronettes, Eugene Pitt and the Jive
Five, the Orioles, the incredible Kenny Vance and the Planetones, Johnny Maestro
and the Brooklyn Bridge (better than you will ever believe), Bill Haley's
Comets, Three Dog Night, and many, many others. If it all went away tomorrow,
life has been good. As a little kid from Delaware growing up with my ear glued
to the transistor radio, I would never have believed what could happen. We have
carried that excitement and feeling that made the 50's 60's and 70's so creative
and so great for live music. Some of our friends call us musical chameleons.
There was a time when I wanted to run from that type of description when it
pertained to my band.
I realize now, more than ever, that influences and diversity, are the strength
of any
credible musician and musical group.
Another recent gig at
Stonebridge Country Club in Naples, Fl. for their annual Mardi Gras Festival
convinced me that I am correct. Their letter is included in this package. See
what they said.
Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder can’t be wrong either.
